"Fantastic sound, great picture quality" on by lm888
Pros: Fantastic sound, great screen (for pics), controls are excellent (very easy to work). Love that sony has finally gotten rid of sonicstage & now has drag and drop. Does everything I want an mp3 player to do.
Cons: Lack of expandable memory is a problem, prompting me to go out and buy the 16GB.
Lack of standard USB & only charges via USB
Lack of FM Radio & Voice recorder.Summary: Even though Sony players are known for being a bit pricey, I prefer to go out and actually spent a bit extra on a player that I know is going to work. I've had 2 Creatives that have failed on me (after a period of around 12 mths) and an ipod that lasted a day. I bought a small 2GB Sony standard USB plug in and it's been with me for about 3 years. Having a large music library however, I decided to upgrade to this player again on a whim. Sony doesn't let you down with excellent sound quality, excellent picture viewing and very very easy control functions- pretty much all I need as I don't really listen to the radio and I don't record my voice all the time. As for being pricey, I bought it in a shop in the UK when the sales were on and it worked out very well for me. The only thing that lets Sony down with these players is the lack of expandable memory and the very incredibly expensive extras (cases, armbands etc.) All in all an excellent player, which does absolutely everything I need only with more class than an ipod.

"better by far 4 simplicity and sound quality than ipod" on by xyy81t
Pros: easy to use, no organising of another media manager to transfer music just plug it in open windows media and drag and drop the tracks you want or just do all like i did as it has 16 gig of memory so no trawling through the library picking favorites
Cons: you cant use the walkman while it is charging (unless there is an accesory i haven't found) the 'kick stand' is useless and if you attatch it to the walkman it could scratch the screen

"Does all I need, extremely well. Great toy." on by picconiv
Pros: Looks great, nice metallic finish. Battery life is much better than my last ipod Nano, the screen is bright and big, extremely thin, very large capacity.
Noise Cancelling and headphones included are by far the best feature.Cons: Proprietary port for charging and no wall charger (Same difects as Ipod).
Summary: Sounds great. Headphones and noise cancelling make this the best choice you could make. If you don't mind less storage, perhaps the 8 GB version will save you some cash without loosing in quality.
Great Product, highly recommended. -
"Great sound, shape and performance." on by kimma3
Pros: Love the sound quality and the menu config. is easy to manipulate and use. The Bluetooth headphones are great too. I can get lots done while listening to music and not have to worry about dropping my mp3player.
Cons: Wish it had FM radio.
Summary: While the price may be kind of steep in my opinion it is worth every penny.

"Simple to use 16GB MP3 player" on by xpank6
Pros: Large capacity, many ways to choose your music, including Genre, Artists, and more. Plus play lists.
Cons: I wish it had sensMe technology
Summary: For the currant price you would be hard pressed to find a 16GB MP3 player at this price.
