"Best Price/Performance Ratio MP3 Player"
Pros: Sexy Looking, Good Battery, Great Sound
Cons: Folder Limit, Slow Navigation, USB Charger
Summary: I recently brought the 1GB version of the player ... and for $70 this is a big bang for the buck.
It looks great with the OLED display and is very light and portable. The addons in the package like the cable, wrist band etc make the package more attractive.
And the Sound i think with the latest firmware (v3.3) is better then the Low end creative, philips and sony players.
I paired this up with a sony silicone earbud earphones and the sound just became better. You could plug in any PC stereo speaker line(with its own seperate AC power) into the jack of this player and presto you have a simple music sytstem. I think one could even do that in a car stereo.
The battery ran for a day straight with full charge .. (less my sleep time of course)
But the problem is that it supports only 50 folders max. So the folder tree creation should be done carefully. Simple drag drop is not that easy.(It is a firmware issue, hope it is fixed soon). And the navigation is a bit slow.
The FM is good, though the reception is not that good in low signal areas and closed spaces.
Since it has a USB charger, you need to have a desktop or a laptop to charge it, may not be that good for people who travel a lot(without a PC i.e.)
But for the price i think better go for this one than the stupid ipod shuffle without even a screen.
