4.5 starson by elegantelbowPros: The scanning tray will hold up to 20 pages, which is more than I ever need, but, best of all, you can have your file converted directly into a PDF file for easy emailing. The OCR (optical character recognition) is also very useful for existing docs.
Cons: It only scans letter size, not legal size, and there's no faxing capability. However, pair this with a service like myfax.com and you're good to go
Summary: This is my second Brother brand multi-function machine and this one is a big step up from my older one and smaller, too. I'm very happy, and I got it for about $150 at Best Buy -- definitely worth every penny.
