"Drinks ink like a cat drinks milk - DONT BUY IT !"
Pros: Low price - low quality
Cons: Drinks ink like a cat drinks milk
Summary: WARNING ! ACHTUNG ! ALERTA !
This is propably as close as you can get to fraud.
This machine will clean its mechanisme on regulary basis during the day, or when each time it is used. Each time it use a little ink from each of the 4 cardridges.
When one of the cardridges is empty, the printer will shut down, and you cant use it, even the B/W cardridge is full.
Only solution is to shut it down when not in use, but if you use it also as a fax ......
DONT BUY THIS PRINTER !

I have had this printer for about 7 months now. I do a moderate amount of printing and I have to replace cartridges weekly. Every time I sit down at the computer it needs new ink cartridges. I also can't stand the fact that your entire printer is incapacitated once one cartridge is low (not even out, just low). THIS PRINTER WILL SUCK YOU DRY! I am going to buy a color laser now, probably the Dell 3110cn, based on it's reviews and cost per page.

My first Black Ink cartridge lasted 5 months.
My first Cyan Ink cartridge lasted 6 months.
My first Magenta Ink cartridge lasted 6 months.
My first Yellow Ink cartridge is still 1/3 to 1/2 full 6-1/2 months after I installed the machine.
I leave it turned on 24/7, using it mostly for c. 10 pages/day of B&W fax send & receive/B&W printing with a little color printing and a B&W copy once in a while.
Judge for yourself whether the cleaning cycle consumes excessive ink.
