Pros: Would prpbably be good if it worked.
Cons: Brother website shows Windows 7 64 bit compatible but that is only the drivers to print (included in windows) The included software - which is a big part of the purchase for me, does not work. Brother support online does not give any further info.
Summary: Software support tech went out of his way to explain how I could "get it to work" but finally acknowledged that the software does not work with windows 7. I purchased this printer after online research for compatibility for Win 7. Don't be fooled, it won't work.

Pros: Good print quality, the better in: lower toner cost, lower page cost.
Many functions very simple to understand.
Beautiful design.Cons: The only two things are: the ADF can take only 35 pages (even if I do not use it so many times and even less more than 5 pages), takes a few range of gr/cm3 paper (I'd like to use also heavier papers)
Summary: After two months of indecision and looking in the web for reviews of many printers I have decided to buy Brother MFC7440N. The other printers or cost too many (see HP and the characteristic are worst) or cost less but the cost per page is higher due to higher toner cost.
Brother is the best in the small-office-laser-printer section. -

Pros: I am a student and print a lot, this has worked much better than any other printer I have had.
Cons: Price...200$
Summary: You pay a little more up front but the toner last sooooooo much longer than inkjets. Its got all the bells and whistles, Good over all printer. 4.5 stars

This machine works as well as any other I have tested over the years and years I have been servicing them. Calling a design outdated and boring is just unprofessional. This design looks no better or worse than any other unit in it's league. He doesn't like rubber buttons? Maybe rubber underwear is more his style. I have seen just about every type of control panel available, and this is no worse than any other type. Grow up Justin, and send that cheque back to hp.
