"About the FAX part of this machine..."
Pros: its quiet, it prints relatively quickly, crisp prints, flatbed scanner is high res, ez to use (popup) scan sofware, handy front loading mem stick reader, Fax is ez - ONCE YOU READ HOW! Read below...
Cons: It does go thru ink rather quickly, but you can get compatible ink for $1.50 online so no biggie, changing the ink is ez and smart - it ASKS which cartridge you changed C or B&W

"Best Printer I have ever owned"
Pros: Loaded with features, great picture printing quality, scanner works great (and converts documents to text and allows me to save as Word). I wish I would have discovered this printer long ago! Installation was a breeze!
Cons: The scanner default settings are too low (the documents are not legible until defaults are changed). Changing the defaults was easy enough though.
