"If photos are all you want..."
Pros: nice photos
Cons: Can't print on envelopes without jams
Summary: Well I gave this thing a try for 3 days and it went back. It prints allright but the paper feeder jumps the paper out of line before it feeds. If you use # 10 size envelopes they tend to get jamed every time. I think Canon needs to spend less time on the Photo aspect of there Printers and look at the basic things people look for in a all in one.

I had the same envelope problem for years with my MP450; however, it turns out that it wasn't the printer's fault--it was mine! There were a couple of printer settings I wasn't setting correctly. Now, I have absolutely have no problem printing envelopes, even loading a stack of envelopes in the auto sheet feeder. These are the previously overlooked settings for printing envelopes:

This review does not address the actual use of the MP printer. Therefore, this review should not be used in your evaluation of this unit.

thanks for the info. very helpfull. yes they do need to concentrate on the basics. what is the point of having a great quality printer if the thing cannot load paper properly.

In your four sentence tyraid you had three gramatical errors, and provided only one piece of information. If your post won't help people, don't bother.

Who would ever have thought that a printer called Pixma, made by a camera company, might emphasize photo functions?
