"GREAT all-in-one for the money"
Pros: Ease of installation and use; Quality of print and photos
Cons: Scan button on printer didn't work, but software scan did
Summary: As typical, I did a ton of research before settling on this all-in-one printer. Within 10 minutes of having it out of the box, I knew that my research effort had paid off.
The body of the MP520 is attractive and the pop-up color screen even has HELP files that walk you through the things you may not do as often. I really like having the two trays to feed paper from...one in front and one in the rear. The print quality of photos is one of the best I've ever seen....pretty comparable to what you may pay for with professional prints. While it is still too new to know how long the ink will last, the ink prices seem pretty comparable to the other high end brands out there.
The one issue I did notice is that I don't seem to be able to actual use the scan button on the printer. To scan, I need to go into the software and initiate it from there. It could be a setting I'm missing somewhere, but I dont' think so. I'll do some internet searching to try to figure that one out.
In a nutshell...this is a really good buy. You'll be pleased.
