Installs 2 apps for accessing the print functions - that's confusing.
Software not compatible with Snow Leopard. To fix, choose the right downloads from the 34 on site (no help.)Summary: Very slow, very thirsty ink hog. This one's a pig.

This printer works flawlessly with my Mac running on Snow Leopard. Not sure why you are having problems with Snow Leopard. I had an HP printer previously which even when installed properly with Snow Leopard was extremely slow in scanning. Would take close to 5 minutes on just a text document. If you are having trouble with Snow Leopard I recommend contacting Canon Tech Support. They are excellent and will get your running properly. The start time for printing is a little slow but comparable to the HP that I returned. And as for drinking ink, believe me in comparison to the HP this Canon is great. The HP literally ran out of black ink within two weeks of just trying to get it running properly (which never actually happened). With the Canon I have been happily printing documents and lots of photos from Christmas with no dent in the ink yet. In addition the photo quality from the Canon on Canon photo paper is outstanding.
