"Good for a beginner, Poor for those interested in quality" on by Tomndodi
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Poor quality and high ink consumption
Summary: I received my A920 free with my computer. For the first time user this is an average printer. As time goes by the high use of ink will quickly make this printer obsolete. For an 8 x 10 photo it may use most of one color cartage. After that the print quality will deteriorate rapidly.
For good quality printing, go to a printer that is manufactured by a company that is known for good quality printers. I like Canon and Brother. I know HP is good, but I tend to have nothing but problems with it, It’s probably just me. -
"Ok printer for a sutdent" on by gardenboi3
Pros: It is a fine printer to do basic stuff and has a good software layout
Cons: high ink consumption, slow scanner, poor scan quality, poor color print quality
Summary: I am a student in high school and i recieved this printer with my dell inspiron 5150 laptop. It is a fine printer for the price, but it guzzles the ink and have finally decide to use ink refill kits. It also produced scans that look grainy and the color prints have the little color dot visible. The black prinouts look streaked even when i clean the cartriges.
I am probably going to buy the HP Officejet 4215.
I would recommend it only if you get it free, and BUY an ink refill kit from www.inkjetcartridge.com -
"VERY GOOD PRINTER!!!" on by Rydawg171
Pros: Very Easy to use! any one could use it!
Cons: Uses a lot of ink for color!! but Black is good!!
Summary: I think this is a very good printer for what is cost and for what I use it for. I sometimes use the scanner to scan pictures on my computer. Make copies of important documents and reciepts. But for how much printing I do, not a lot, for homework or things off the internet, I would recomend this printer for the person who does the casual printing and scanning!

"Poor, poor, poor!!!" on by nattylioness
Pros: Nice design, compact
Cons: High ink consumption; paper tray jams
Summary: My husband purchased the printer for a great price. However, as a teacher, this printer has failed to fulfill my needs. The printer is an ink guzzler and I do not even print as much as I did when I owned a HP. The paper has a tendency to feed through crooked. The on-printer button for copying and scanning cannot be set for draft printing and thus, automatically prints using "highest quality"..another heavy ink use. After one year of torture, we went back to the old faithful and purchased a HP TODAY!!! Anyone need a printer?

"Poor effort from Dell" on
Pros: This printer is usually free with Dell (assuming you don't mind paying extra for the printer cable). The pros: fairly compact and easy to use and comes with some software.
Cons: Minuscule, over-priced cartridges which are difficult to refill for the faint-hearted. Slow print speeds, mediocre quality. Flimsy paper tray. Ugly, unprofessional print properties setup. Photocopying only works when the printer is on and is quite slow. A
