"Waste of Money Machine"
Pros: It prints, faxes, copies, scans SOMETIMES
Cons: The wireless unit does NOT work. The fax feature is terrible. Will not work on toner other than Dell. Online purchase of toner takes too much time or does not arrive. Scanning is messy(lines thru scan). Copying kept on defaulting to color.
Summary: What a waste of money this machine is. I had read other reviews and it came up 4 stars. How wrong. I have already received a refurbished replacement after spending 2.5 hours on the phone with a (really nice, he can't help it) guy from India. Everything has been timely. The wireless stopped working every 3-4 days. Finally wired it again for more effectiveness. The fax is terrible. Recipients either not receive a fax (i receive confirmation), or they receive it 5 times. Or the fax will fail completely for a few days... I know I am receiving faxes since I have Single Number Reach and can read them online... It's the forwarding that gets blocked?
Scanning has never really worked from the start. If chosen to scan to Word, it is a mess. A jpeg file usually works, but they are too big to send.
Copying, it constantly defaulted to color everytime I resetted the wireless feature. Waste of color toner.
Most stores do not carry this toner. Means you have to purchase online. 3 times in a row, i received confirmation or order. Did not get a shipment confirmation however. The order got deleted 3 times. When I complained, the answer was; "I should have called" Nice, then do not have the online feature. Toner is expensive and you tend to use (waste) a lot!
