"Worst Printer Ever"
0.5 starson by sticknam50392Pros: Prints documents
Cons: Fails horribly at printing
Summary: This is the worst printer I have ever used. I've been using it for around 8 months now, and there's problem after problem with it.
I'll start with the positives.
1. It prints stuff.
The quality's good and it gets the job done, so it does do the job.
2. Scanner works.
The scanner's pretty useful for scanning images, hand-written notes, etc etc.
Cons:
1. It uses so much ink, it's not funny.
At roughly $15-20 a cartridge, ink isn't cheap. This printer goes through ink so quickly, I'm amazed at how big the cartridge is relative to the amount of pages you can print.
2. The scanner doesn't work too well.
The scanner ends up cutting off parts of pretty much every single document you scan. I've gotten around by using a whiteboard marker to draw a big black box around the entire thing I'm scanning - not a method you want to use.
3. The paper jams.
It took me 8 tries to print a 2-page document. The printer will jam almost every single time, and the stupid printer ink reminder will register it as having used ink even if it didn't because of a paper jam. Thus, the software keeps telling you that the "print quality" won't be good due to lack of ink even when you have roughly half of your ink left.
That's about it. While there are some good aspects to this printer, the bad aspects of it seriously outweigh and negate the good aspects. Avoid this printer at all costs and buy something better from a different company.

Do you have or can you help me to get the user guide for this printer, or maybe even just look up the codes I need to fix this printer for me???
Thank you, Tracy -
Hmm, Its curious that this printer has gotten so many negative reviews. I have had my printer for a few years and it has been fantastic. Although it does use a lot of ink. And now after a few good years it has begun to print all faded and strange as if the ink is out, even though it has plenty of ink. Is there anything I can do, I'm wondering? Or do I just put more ink into it. I was thinking that since I don't use it much that maybe its just getting dried out. I try not to print very much, trying to be mostly paperless. In any case have you found anything that makes it bounce back from these problems, or should I just invest in a new inexpensive printer?
