"Poor copy quality (when it works); Expensive"
0.5 starson by LDOGOPros: It worked well for about the first 20 copies. The remaining 250 plus got chalked up to printer head cleaning and alignments.
Cons: Requires constant cleaning of print heads which consumes most of the color ink and even after cleaning, the printer still puts horizontal streaks in the print. Wireless is not reliable, fax function does not confirm receipt of fax.
Summary: Don't waste your time or money on this printer. I have had the print head replaced and that did not correct the poor print quality (still "streaked" the print). Dell sent a refurbished printer (although mine was still under warranty) and right out of the box I had the same problem with print quality. The ink cartridges are expensive and this printer is an "ink hog". It is not responsive when using it as a wireless printer - takes forever to load and print and many times you need to reload the document.
Save yourself a headache - go with anyting but the V515. I noticed that Lexmark collaborated with Dell on this series printer and in the past I have had a bad experience with Lexmark - but you only see that Lexmark is involved once you load the software.
Dell support was fanastic, quick turnaound of parts, etc., but that does not do anything for you when the product is a lemon in the first place.
