The Epson Stylus CX5800F fits in the category of
inkjet multifunctions built for business.
Color laser multifunctions are a better bet for faster printing and less expensive upkeep, but they won't handle photos. Spendthrifts should like the Stylus CX5800F's individual ink tanks, which let you change one color at a time. The built-in PictBridge and digital card slots let you print photos without turning on your computer, and the scanner resolution is a decent 1,200x2,400dpi. Small and home offices should be satisfied with the print speed if this machine comes anywhere near to Epson's estimated 20ppm (pages per minute) for black ink only or 19ppm for color pages. We'll put the CX5800F through CNET Labs' tests soon and deliver our verdict.
