"Nozzles plug easily, difficult (impossible?) to clean"
Pros: Multi functions
Cons: Nozzles plug easily, nozzle cleaning uses huge amount of ink
Summary: Bought my unit 6 months ago. I had read unit would clog nozzles if left on so I turned it off religiously.
Forgot and left it on for a three days. Nozzles clogged. Starting with remaining ink at about 50%, fewer than a dozen cleanings left the printer with plugged nozzles and no ink.
Power on seems to go through a cleaning cycle using a fair amount of ink as the color cartridges were at 50% even though no color printing was done, and B&W was used for less than a few dozen copies. Once any cartridge empty, printer won't print.Updated
Found local supplier of an ink refill kit for the CX4600.

Bought and installed their kit. Printer worked perfectly from the first power up after install with no nozzle clogging (I had left it turned off for several days and that may have helped clear the clogging. Apparently there are cleaning pads that are set against the print head when the printer is turned off).
Added advantage is that my cost is 1/5 that of using Epson cartridges. So I am a happy camper again and would increase my rating of this printer significantly.Updated
