"Excellent printer................for about a year."
Pros: Cool all-in-one, good print quality, pretty good scanning quality
Cons: Nozzles clog easily, becomes an oversized paperweight in about a year
Summary: I love Epson printers, but after a year, this one really let me down. I've tried using the head cleaners over and over again. So far, I've succeeded in partially cleaning two of the four nozzles. Of course, this meant that I'd wasted the whole cartridge of ink in the process. I heard that using nozzle cleaning fluid can damage the nozzles since they are so tiny. So I'm stuck with a printer that no longer works. I know three other people with the same printer that have similar problems.
Save your money.

I work in this tattoo shop and we acquire this same printer to help enhance our all-custom work. Finally after a while the head cleaner stopped working correctly, every time we go refill the ink cartridges the printer responds "____ ink out" when its completely full. I just gave up on that thing....and it seems it knows to last up until the week before the 1 year warranty comes up. Wonder if the company knows its screwing us over? Good I'll use it for batting practice.

Pros:
This printer is amazing and yes it does appear to die after a year. Their are printer head cleaning kits available which may help. However the real issue are the tubes inside the machine.
Cons:
Epson's support is terrible!!! However check out http://www.fixyourownprinter. com/forums/printer/28050 which is apparently run by a Epson Printer Tech.

Clearly Epson does not care about its customers and I find it hard to believe that they would choose loosing customers over providing them with a simple solution...it is a messy solution but the ink will come off you hands with soap and water. At the end of the day its the flawed mantainence concept that is really the issue, blasting more ink through the tubes just blows the connection apart.
I find it odd how companies will risk losing customers, obviously the money is in the ink, why not provide me with info about the simple tube reconnection and sell me more ink, last night reading all of these poor reviews I was truly dissapointed and thinking about returning to the other companies like HP and Canon, but ultimatly thought i'm just going to run into the same issues.
I'm glad we were able to find a solution, I really found it hard believe that we were just stuck...their is always a solution.
