"WARNING-WARNING-WARNING-Not a true Fax with page feeding!" on by johnxtampa

Pros: Price, reasonably good for photo printing, Epson's typically have lower ink costs

Cons: Faxes, but not a Fax machine - you manually scan and fax just 1 page at a time!

Summary: I bought this thinking, hey, pretty good deal! Some reviews in other places mentioned difficult installs, but I wasn't worried.

What is shocking is this...the Fax is OK for receiving, but it's a flatbed scanner with no page feeder for faxing, so you're supposed to fax out by scanning a page and faxing, you can't stick a 3 page fax somewhere, dial, and send. This is totally unacceptable, if you bought this for fax purposes.

"make sure to purchase extra warranty for this product" on by likes2cook

    Pros: excellent print quality

Cons: ink-guzzler, cartridge carrier quality control problem, may stop printing for no reason

Summary: I was disappointed by the quality control of this product. Ink cartridge error messages popped up shortly after brand new ink cartridges were put in. It turned out this brand new all-in-one printer I bought was defective. I called Epson for trouble-shoot, they were quick to volunteer to send a replacement, but it would take about a week for the replacement to arrive. When the replacement printer arrived, it turned out to be another ink guzzler although not nearly as bad as the defective one. In addition, the printer would freeze when I reverse print order. This is something I had never experienced with other printers. Finally, after a couple of weeks of relative calm (meaning no major problems) from this printer, it stopped working. If your work can wait a week to be printed when you’re waiting for the replacement and you don’t mind an ink guzzler, then this is a good product to consider because the print quality is good, and Epson has *real people* answering phone calls for technical problems instead of emails or voice mails, and Epson does not hide their business phone numbers.

"Do not buy Epson Stylus CX7000F" on by charles_henry88

Pros: If it works, the printing quality is good

Cons: Ink catridge very expensive and short lived. The printer broke very easily

Summary: I bought an Epson Stylus CX7000F two years ago. The sample color catridge only last less than two month with less than 100 pages usage. I thought this is the sample one. The real one will be much better than printing less than 100 pages. I bought three color plus black color cartridge after the sample one ran out of ink and it cost me $55. But, the catridge last another three month ! and it is out of ink and need to buy new one. In the three month, I printed out 6 page color photo and less than 100 page home work by my kids. I stopped using the Epson Stlyus CX7000F for about a year and let my kids using small single function old HP Deskjest 3320. The color ink for that printer only cost me $18 in WalMart and it can last more than 6 month and can print out at least 300 more pages for my kid home work, school projects, color photoes and some of my documents. The HP Deskjet 3320 has been used for over 6 years and so far no issues at all. A few day ago, I want to use the Epson printer again and bought another $50 color ink cartirdge package online through EpsonStore and installed in this Epson Stylus CX7000F and it started to print out blank page !!! I called Epson Ink Technical Support and they said the Epson Stylus CX7000F printer and has mechanical problem and it is out of warranty. Since the printer is dead, I need to return the $50 catridge. But, they said I have opened and it can not be returned ! Basically, now I am stucked with a broken Epson Stylus CX7000F printer ( $120 ) and $50 color catridge. I will not recommand Epson printer to anybody based upon its poor quality printer and extremely expensive and short lived print ink.

"A big ink cartridge budget" on by MaleNurse52

    Pros: mmmmm not many

Cons: We know where Epson makes their money, and its noth the machine.. Plan on buying ink cartridge in bulk. If one dies, the machine stops working. even ifs it color and you only print in black and white. Printing is slow.

Summary: Plan on a big budget for new ink cartridges...

"Poor ink and paper handling capabilities" on by droubal

Pros: when it works, print quality is good.
    Low price

Cons: Does not always recognize its own ink cartridges
Ink cartridges don't last very long.
Paper feed send several pages in at a time. Requires manually guiding the paper feed.
Key pad controls not very convenient

Summary: Not a very efficient printer. Above stated problems slow productivity. I have had several Epson printers and none of them have been very good. Another manufacturer is recommended.
