"The archival inks are not meant for throwaway jobs."
Pros: The multi-purpose printer/scanner/copier does a lot and doesn't take up much room. My scans and prints look good. It didn't take long to set up or learn how to use it.
Cons: It balks when I try to use heavyweight fine art paper (which Epson doesn't even make). Sometimes it will take thick paper, most of the time it won't.
Summary: Stop it already with the complaining about the ink, you have no idea what you're talking about! This printer uses PIGMENT based inks, not the cheap DYE-based inks most printers use. Pigments are lightfast, they will not fade for decades, and they are expensive. Dyes are cheap and will start fading immediately. This printer is meant for photos that will be framed and hung on a wall for many years. This printer is not for your throwaway garage-sale flyers.
