"An amazing well rounded printer. Great for those photo freaks, and simple enough for the starters."
Pros: Slide reader, DuraBrite Ultra Ink. Made by EPSON..expect a great product.
Cons: A little pricy, somewhat larger than the cx6600 even though this is the replacement model of that.
Summary: I thought this printer is amazing. Before i bought this, i got the Epson stylux cx4800 and it was also great. With the 7800, it has the same great scanning and printing resolution/speed, but it adds the features of an LCD screen, and the negatives/slide reader. Even though this machine has more buttons than the 4800, the screen makes it soo easy to use. A dummy could use this to get professional KODAK quality. Who would have thought that you could get something like this from an ink jet printer. I scanned a calander photograph, shrunk it and printed it on photo paper, it was as good as if i took a picture with an expensive camera and got it developed professionally.
This is an excellent machine and it will last a long time in a household.
I extremely love the Dura Bright ink. Its the next best thing and almost equal to a lazer printout. NO MORE HIGHLIGHTER SMUDGES!!!
This gets a 10.

I purchased the CX 7800 to replace my Epson 1250 scannner and my HP 5550 printer.I am very happy with the print quality, print speed & scanning. I do however have a big concern with the print heads clogging up. After using it for 3 weeks on a daily bases the blue print head clogged. It took 3 tries at cleaning to clear it up. Be warned folks that cleaning will use a lot of ink in all 4 of your cartridges not just the one that was a problem. My last 2 printers (HP) never once gave me a problem with the print heads. I have used just about every Mfg's. media on this machine and can honestly say that they all work just fine. I have noticed that the Kodak Ultra Photo (Glossy) has stood out a little more then the others with respect to colour quality. With the exception of the clogging I would recommend this All In One and rate it a 8 out of 10
