Pros Cheap on wallet
Cons Cheap quality. Doesn't work properly.
Summary Took me two printer orders to get one that would set up correctly. But now I find it a hassle every time I go to use it because sometimes it won't work at all, most of the time I try to print photos it quits half-way through, wasting my toner, my paper, and my time. But then I realized the photo quality is so terrible that I shouldn't bother printing photos from it anyway. Now I want to throw it off my balcony instead of trying to get my money back, again. Worst part is I followed the recommendation of CNET's "editor's pick" so now I don't know who to trust, because seriously I don't know how anyone could recommend this piece of crap.
Pros Easy to set up and it has a small fooprint. The ink is expesive, but it doesn't go through it all that fast.
Cons Slow, painfully slow, especially when making copies. When settings are changed to speed it up for B&W copies, it prints them blue and pink.
If you do not put the paper in the feeder just right it prints crooked.
Settings are difficult to access.
Summary This printer has some cool features, but they are not worth the annoyances of bad design and engineering.
The most annoying, crooked printing, never had a printer that was so touchy about how the paper sat in the feeder.
This printer works, but not well.
Pros Cheap price, multi function, small foot print.
Cons Cheaply made, does nothing well, not reliable.
Summary This color printer made very bad color print and consume a lot of ink. Be ready to spend a lot of money for ink cartage for not so nice color print output. It also stop working properly after 6 month of use. I do not recommend this printer to anyone.
Pros Easy to set up and change the ink cartridges and move from location to location
Cons Burns through ink quickly and sometimes needs to be started twice.
Summary We are in production and we have to move offices quite a bit. This printer is the right size and handles the workload that we put it under.
Pros small footprint.
Cons Very noisy; very, very expensive ink-user. Very slow.
Summary I use an Epson Artisan 810 and an 837. Both are wonderful. The NX430 is one of Epson's rather rare disasters and should be avoided like the plague. I used mine for only 2 days and junked it.
