"Worst printer regarding cost of consumables." on by artistxx
Pros: Easy to setup and print wirelessly.
Cons: Cost of ink isn't sustainable. I print a few pages a week and must replace at least one cartridge a month ($20) I'm guessing 50cents a sheet to print.
Summary: Look elsewhere.

"Excellent, cheap, small printer" on by German4589
Pros: -easy setup on wireless mode
-small size
-extremely cheap (I bought this for 59 on amazon)Cons: - a little noisy
-small cartridgesSummary: I obviously would recommend this machine, has a very good build quality, works flawlessly, I've been using this for about a month right now, and haven't experienced any problems since I set it up. Is a must buy if you're an student with not much space, and doesn't print lots of pages, but if you do print a lot, think twice before buying because the cartridges run out very quickly and cost around 15 each.

"Works perfectly and doesn't take up space." on by peco412
Pros: Small footprint, does everything, everything works.
Cons: Not for high volume use.
Summary: Although I feel for those who have had issues setting up their NX430s, I didn't have any. My small primary laptop computer doesn't have an optical drive, so I downloaded all of the software directly from Epson's website. Perhaps starting with the most up to date software helps. I'm pretty sure that I also updated the firmware on the printer at one point, too. That was painless, too, apparently. I had the NX420 for a short while before upgrading to the NX430. Due to my space limitations, the $10 cost of the upgrade for the slightly smaller size and slightly better design of the NX430 was well worth the it. I print from several different laptops, both PC and Mac, and also from a first generation iPad and a few iPhones, both 4 and 4S. All work flawlessly and the print quality is more than sufficient for my needs.

"Great mobile printer!" on by Farsidekey
Pros: Easy setup, prints surprisingly fast.
Scan to PDF wirelessly is great, impressive quality.
Tested across multiple mobile phone users in a mobile office, no problems.Cons: Would be nice to be able to print without a network, but not necessary for my needs.
Summary: -The printer is very small and able to fit in a cabinet in my mobile office where space is at a premium.
-The paper input tray will feed paper from a 90 degree position against the back wall of the cabinet with no problems, even if it falls forward over the scanner.
-The power connection in the back is recessed so it can sit flush with the back wall.
-Wireless setup was simple with Sprint "Sierra Wireless" mobile hotspot. No problems printing from Android "nexus S" or IPad 2 with Epson Apps.
I haven't had it long enough to judge how long an ink cartridge lasts but the company pays for them so it's not an issue.
