  • "DO NOT BUY IT - Black nozzle doesn't work"
    on by nodieusa

    Pros - Inexpensive
    - Fast
    - Works pretty well with PCs and Macs using wifi

Cons - Picture quality is awful
    - Can't print black anymore even with new cartridges
    - Tech Support is horrible
    - Cartridges are expensive and don't last long

Summary It works well at first but broke down way too fast. Epson tech agent already told me to buy a new printer after the 1 step of troubleshooting, which was to remove and replace cartridges.

  • "DO NOT BUY. Ink hog. Pricey Ink. Pathetic."
    on by pjeleazar

Pros Don't be fooled by its looks or marketing fluff.

Cons Ink hog, expensive inks, if one cartridge needs to be replaced the printer is basically disabled.

Summary I've had the printer for over a year now and I'm seriously disappointed. Tried various print settings for optimal output on different types of photopaper with no success. It's also louder than a leaf blower. Epson's biggest shortcoming is the cost of the ink and the fact that the printer will not function if one of the ink cartridges needs to be replaced. I won't ever buy an Epson product again and will discourage anyone else from doing so. Way to go Epson, you're losing potential life-long customers over short-term greed. It's pathetic and shameless.

  • "I am taking this one to the dumpster!!!"
    on by tkoco

Pros Great print quality when it works. It has operated great for the first 6 months. Fast printing and easy to use.

Cons Ink usage is awful. No getting around one cartridge being out of ink. Ink cartridge is half full and priinter won't work. All cartridges must be more than half full to work. Can't even print all black...

Summary I am taking this one to the dumpster!!!

  • "Waste of my money."
    on by dpix

    Pros Fast WHEN working

Cons Constantly clogs if not using for even a short time. Sucks ink dry if you try cleaning print heads. Will not operate even the scanner in 1 ink cartridge is low. Constantly replacing ink. Noisy
Can not reset ink cartridge. I pulled out full color cartri

Summary I am done with Epson printers. They are an INK company, not a printer company. I wish I could f ind a quality printer that doesn't suck you dry on ink, even if I had to pay a little more initially.

  • "MONEY SUCKER! Stay away!"
    on by cunui

    Pros Very fast printing.

Cons You can't print if any of the 4 ink cartages is out - aka can't print an all black document if "magenta" has run out. Often doesn't even recognize own Epson ink cartage. Can't scan if an ink cartage is out. SUCKS INK UP LIKE A VACUUM!

Summary Worked like a charm for a few months and then was all downhill from there. I had a major college essay to turn in and half way through, the printer announced that "magenta" was out and needed to be replaced.... When I was typing up an ALL BLACK DOCUMENT! Even after replacing with an Epson "magenta" ink cartage, the printer insisted that it could not recognize its OWN ink cartage! Thus forcing me to replaced with ANOTHER Epson "magenta" ink cartage. A month later the printer began to print out text with only lines to show, and being unable to print in any of the other colors apart from "magenta". No amount of "cleaning" through Setup or calling to "customer service" did any good to fix the printer, and as I give a last look at the cursed "Cannot recognize ink cartidges" message on the printer's screen, I am tossing this piece of junk and buying myself a new printer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRINTER!
