Pros when working it prints very nice scanner works well most of the time.
Cons error handeling is very poor. always running out of one of the inks. Low print count on ink. Expensive ink. not a fax A hastle to change ink. (and you do it a lot) If you want a printer get a printer. Epson does not tell you on ink boxes how much ink i
Pros colour printing is great
Cons uses lots of ink and text printing is not great photocopying tends to print a grey background unless you scan and print instead
Summary the ink is very expensive and the printer uses an awful lot of it but it is great for colour photo printing and scanning I use a black and white laser printer to print documents
Pros It prints pretty clear and intense pictures on glossy photo paper. For the price I thought this does a good job.
It doesn't jam up papers as often as my old HP.
Printing and scanning speed is reasonable.
Cons It stops working after a certain number of prints. But it's not a big deal to fool the machine to restart.
I can't print on envelopes which are bit larger than the letter size. My old HP printer took them but that didn't print good on photo paper.
Summary As a scanner, a printer, a copier(not so hot) and a card reader, $250.00 was decent about 2 years ago.
For me it is hard to measure the longevity of cartridges. And considering the improvement of quality in pictures, it is impossible to compare the cartridge longevity of new printers with old ones.
Above all I was satisfied with glossy pictures, but now I am upgrading to a little better printer which will also take a wider paper.
Pros Good quality prints, excellent scanner, easy to use and maintain
Cons Big, a bit slow
Summary I got this printer for free when I saw someone was throwing it away. Turns out they just didn't have the drivers and I snagged a great printer. I'm a graphic design student, and so a printer is a fairly important tool. The scanner on this printer is wonderful, I was using a Dell AIO printer before, and this highly outclasses it. Sure it prints a little slow, but quality is by far more important than a quick print job. Though it's not a laser printer, it's a very nicely design inkjet.
Pros Heavy enough to be used as a weapon, scanner is easy to use
Cons Ink costs are extremely high, slow, loud, big
Summary I keep it for the scanner, but I wish I would have bought something more cost effective, and of better quality.
