"awesome all in one, great print quality, great scan quality" on by terrapin24h

Pros: very versatile, quiet, great scanning, trans adapter

Cons: text could be better, good for printing notes and such, for good scanning unit MUST be on very solid surface

Summary: We've now had this AIO for about 2 months, and have to say that we have printed alot of photos(4x6 up to 8x10) on both epson and non epson papers(Kodak premium paper) and are very pleased with the quality of output and scanning that this unit generates. The high res scan head allows me to get good meaty scans of my negs and slides for fixing in photoshop, and the pict bridge link between my Kodak easyshare dx7590 camera and the printer is the nuts!!! All i do is hit the "share" button on the camera, tell it how many of what image i want, set the paper type and that's it! later when i get home, i turn on the printer and connect the camera to the printer via the front usb port and prints start popping out on thier own! It's *the coolest* thing! Scanning to print is equally easy, as is printing from card or copying(does good copies, even of sales receipts for rebates). We bought this machine specifically for photo work, so the semi-weak text(it's not really all that bad, either) performance doesn't phase us in the least, but i will offer a word of caution on scanning: We first had the machine sitting on a library table and scans were coming out fuzzy. Moving the unit to our oak file cabinet has made a world of difference in scan quality. The scans come in nice with no noise or artifacts, and with very little sharpening, allowing me to correct and sharpen to my taste. The scanner is very accurate, and the least amount of dust or hair will be reflected in your scanned image. All in all this is a great unit and it does the task of all around photo machine extremely well, and we are happy as clams with it. Photo output time seems good to me, and i don't have any complaints with scan time, either. I can see how the less photographic tasks(charts and reports and the like) won't look as good as other units, but when used strictly for photo work this thing can't be beat.

"beautiful photos ... scans negatives and slides ...consistant" on by photosrus71

Pros: very very nice photos.... scans..... and negative scans

Cons: little slow...large all in one

Summary: ive had the epson rx620 in my office for almost of year ...i've done hundreds of photos... thousands of papers and scans.... i've also convert alot of my old negatives back into 4x6 again.... with the cost of all 6 cartridges and a 100 pack of epson premuim glossy photo paper ($15) my price per print is 30 cents which is really good.. the ink is waterproof and fade proof... all dye ink systems like found in hp and canon claim 100 year life but still only epson has been put in sunlight for a couple weeks and not have the photo fade... i even did this test to the new canon ip6600d and it still faded.... the rx620 has been problems free no head cloggs and its very consistant with photos all my photo look good if taken right... and its scanning features are very good.... its also one of the few all - in - ones that can scan negatives and slides... i think it still to be a much higher quality and print 1000% better photos then even the new hp 3310 so the rx620 gets a 9 in my book would h ave had a 10 if it was a little bit faster and smaller.... thanks

"I love it. Easy to use and great photo quality." on by Kalola

Pros: Ease of use. Outrageous photo quality

    Cons: haven't found them yet

Summary: I purchased this item 2 nights ago. I followed their step by step set up directions and it worked perfectly right away. I purchased their 4x6 photo paper and printed directly from my memory card and the quality is as good as from any store printer. I'm working on my son's yearbook committee and I scanned 70 baby pictures last night with ease. I love it.

"great photo quality; excellent scanner" on by hattabk

Pros: scanner is better than many seperate scanners; great photos, great colors; quiet printng; good software bundle

Cons: a bit noisy when it feeds paper, otherwise quiet; usb location requires a longer cable

Summary: If you only use it as a scanner, it's still worth the price. I scanned a negative that is more than 20 years old which was lying around on my desk for over a year now with all kinds of dust and scratches and wich I had little hope of ever developing into a viewable photo, the result? with a little touching up in Photopshop Elements... Simply incredible, very close to a professionally developed photo. just make sure you double or trebble the default scanning resolution. I've only owned the RX620 for a week now, but I am already doing things that I never thought I could do, not at THIS price anyway!
