"Horrible design and CHEAP plastics" on by Scoutech

Pros: Good wireless printing. Set up was easy.

Cons: Not servicable to clean clogged printer head. Cheap plastics break easy. Service manual instructs to "break" some parts for service. Need to tear down the entire printer to replace head. Noisy. Cartridges run out very fast.

Summary: Being an experienced engineer, developing electronics products for over 25 years, I am appalled at the shappy use of materials and design of this printer. It is the worst example of crappy mechanical design I have seen in many years. Having worked directly with Epson Japan, I'm doubly appalled. Epson just lost me as a customer for ANY Epson printer in the future. I placed this printer in a dumpster. It does not warrant recyling. The materials are not worth the trouble. Service manual was helpful after I searched for three hours to find one.
The print head became severely clogged after high res printing 50 brochures.
Finally the printer would no longer recognize four full cartidges.
Black color totally failed and other colors frequently clogged.
Ink ran out so fast, I had to replace cardridges after 5 high res pages.
    Should I continue???

    Nothing personal against Epson.
However, I highly recommend to ANYONE to NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.

"Flawless, easy to use machine" on by larryecollins

Pros: This machine does it all, & does it well. And set up was a synch. Love the removeable internal memory card for scans AND the dual format: PDF / JPG. Prints are clear. Remote printing? -- WOW!

Cons: I wish it could scan legal size. But that is the ONLY negative I've found.

Summary: This machine does it all, & does it well. I liked it so much I went out and bought 2 more: one for my wife & one for my church. It definitely exceeded my expectations, and I'm picky. The touch display is easy to use and menus are well planned. Set up was easy and logical - no surprises or quirks. Scans are quick and I really like the automatic document feeder. Wifi set up was also quick and easy. I'm actually planning to buy more for my son.

"Do not buy unless you are a millionair!" on by asims1956

    Pros: Good print quality.

Cons: Prints 10 pages of 4 3/4 x 7 inches of solid graphic area (photograph quality) then wants you to replace ink cartridges. 40 dollars per set for color. That comes out to 4 dollars per page according to my calculations.

Summary: I have seen some greedy companies in my time but this one takes the cake. If you fail to heed my warning you will soon find out. I have had this printer for 3 weeks and paid almost 180 dollars for it and am considering putting it in the trash the next refill. Ink is just too much.

"Awesome combo machine!!!" on by t75dkm3

Pros: Document Feeder, Connectivity Options, Application software easy to use, Front panel display and selection keys very straight forward, Nice sturdy sound when operating.

Cons: Sturdy sound may be a bit louder than most people are used to. Single color Cartridge.

Summary: After eading the reviews here I was a bit sceptical about the purchase of this printer. After I got it home it seemed to be a good robust machine and after plugging it in and running through a stack of work I needed to get scanned and FAXed out I was happy. I waited to write this review after a couple of months use to really get a better overall picture of how this machine would function. I must say everything has worked flawlessly. Ease of use from the front panel control screen, being able to select which home PC I want document to go to, the document feeder has worked on 1000's of pages without one jam. Some reviews talk of scanned images being skewed, so far I haven't seen this. Wife and kids have used this machine without asking very many questions like how do I work this thing. Overall I have been very happy with this purchase as I used to be the owner of one of those HP's that said I was out of Yellow Ink even after installing a new ink cartridge and it was only a year old when it broke. This unit does only have one color ink cartridge, which I haven't had to change yet, so if you're into the individual cartridges that might be a minus when considering this unit, but con't let that get you down as many of the ink refill stores can refill that one color and top the others off when needed. Hope this review helps, and happy printing.

"luv it 4 all the functionability esp. photocopying!!" on by KATE-D

Pros: the photocopying has become my biggest hurrah but equally easy to scan etc.

Cons: inserting card stock for printing folded cards - what I see on my computer is NOT what I print and that is frustrating and an incredible waste of card stock and ink.

Summary: I need to find out how to print cards properly otherwise this machine gets a thumbs down on the ability to create my own greetings cards.
