Very poor setup instructions
If it fails out of box they want to put a hold on your credit card when they send out a replacementSummary: Never had a printer fail for me before right out of the box. Got through setup through installing the ink cartridges and then the display just kept flashing. None of the controls were recognized. Nothing in the instructions covered this situation. Called Epson customer support, no 800 number. After minimal trouble shooting like powering printer off an back on, checking for any obstructions, unplugging it, all of which I had already done they said I would have to send it back and they would send a replacement. They would have to put a hold on my credit card to assure that I returned the defective machine and I would have to take it to a FedEx location. Will be it taking back to where I purchased it and will not be getting another Epson based on this experience and the experience with customer support.

Same thing happened to me with the Epson Artisan 730. Broken right out of the box: would not print photos - worthless emails from customer support which are written by a robot. No one to call. Store I bought it from said "don't bother trying to fix it. The print head is broken." VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !!!!! No more Epson printers!!
