"faxing is the pits" on by kagy
Pros: good print quality and speed
Cons: fax feeding, fax errors, some print errors
Summary: The top-loading fax feeder will often take in two sheets at once, thereby negating at least one of those pages. Fax will almost always fail to send the last page on the first attempt. I've actually developed a work-around by putting in an empty sheet for the last page! HP actually sent me a replacement machine, but it has the same problem.
During printing I've often had the print job stop and cant' be restarted. I've discovered that the Print Setup Utility has installed a duplicate HP 6110 printer. Deleting it solves the problem, until it inevitably happens again. -
"ONLY GOOD FOR HOME USE" on by start2finish
Pros: Envelope feeder works good, receives faxes from distinctive rings, quiet
Cons: fax is terrible, the ADF works some of the time will grab multiple pages
Summary: If you wanted on printer to use at home that could fax if neede to this is ok. But if you need to fax 10 pages and do not have the time to babysit the feeder then stay away from this machine. The scan function is not working for me. It is slow at coping but the flat screen scanner will work for copying receipts for rebate mail in. This is not a machine for the home office unless you use email for most everything. But to add to a home computer go get it. That's a good use in my opinion.

"Nice machine AS LONG as it works, bu then..." on by e.kamerich
Pros: satisfying quality output als a printer and copier
Cons: weak construction with bad support. Very slow
Summary: I was content with it for the quality of the output, although paper transport in sheet feader and ADF sometimes was a little haphazard and it is really slow, but I am a really patient man. When it was a little more than 1 year old, the lid over the color ink catrtridge broke wile I was changing the cartridge. Then I learned what HP calls user support: a replacement part was not available, not even a replacement cartridge carriage. The only possibility I got was changing it in for an exchange machine (an old repaired machine, not a new one!) paying almost the same as what I would pay in a budget shop. No way!
It does not print even black jobs if the color cartridge is not in its place and pressed against the contacts, so I have `mended' it with wood wedges and that works. As the paper transport now is getting worse, (my previous HP1150 was repaired costly for the same reason an then died too early for electronic problems) it is time for a new machine, but not an HP, never again. -
"Faxing is a headache" on by VitaVito
Pros: It's cute-Pros
Cons: faxing is painful
Summary: The pages stick together when you fax something. And it transmits some pages small and others correctly. Please do not purchase this product if you are a busy person because you will waist alot of time faxing and confirming if the other receiver received the fax. If the pages are slightly bent or has holes from the staples, you have to make copies of the form first then fax them.

"I was 3 months out of warranty, and HP had offered no free help to fix a known problem." on
Pros: Absolutely NONE.
Cons: The known problem is that if the scanner glass is dirty, the whole damn thing will not initialize so you cannot use the 6110 for anything. Luckily, I found out how to remove the glass by googling so that I could clean the bottom of the glass. That fixed t
