"You better have very deep pockets to own one of these chunks of crap!" on

Cons: Supplies are expensive. If you use anythinng but HP supplies be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars because even though HP says you can use other supplies, if you do, the printer is able to determine that you have and it will tell you that it has an "ID

This printer uses cartridges that have expiration dates on them. Somehow HP has rigged the printer to read these expiration cartridges and when one goes out the other won't work either. I have 21% left in my black and 48% left in my color. When I turn on the printer, I get the message "supply expired, replace the color cartridge". So somebody want to tell me how, when purchasing new cartridges that those are the latest date made in order to get more time to expiration? Next they will be telling us "your printer has expired, please buy a new one."

I use the 7130xi daily in mu business. Unfortunaely, the machine makes me change the color cartridge periodically even though I only print in black. This makes it expensive to use. Otherwise, the machine is satisfactory.

The 7139xi is used as a stand alone black and white printer in my business. I have had it for 2 years and it periodically makes me change the color ink cartridge, even though I have never printed more than 5 pages in color. This defect makes it very expensive for features I do not use. It will not continue printing in black until I replace the color cartridge. So I am paying for cartridges I do not use. I would rate the machine as very satisfactory otherwise.

I have owned exclusively HP Printers for several years and got to say the print is great but the cost of the print heads ($36 each) and ink cartridges ($34) is very spendy and you will be buying printheads. I have owned this printer 6 months and had to buy 5 printheads. I will be looking else where for my next printer. HP really screwed up by making their ink system so costly.
