"Nothing works well"
Pros: Scanner function amazing
Cons: paper feed terrible
Summary: i bought this to replace a G85 because the scanner was so slow. the 9130 has beat my expectations in this area, scanning documents at about 10 ppm directly to a folder on my computer; really frees up the desktop computer to do something else while scanning.
but that is all that works well. the paper feed on tray 2 is horrible; hp told me to use only 18# paper, and not the 24# hp premium paper, even thought the specifications allow for the 24# paper. as soon as you have tray 2 more than 1/2 full, it starts to jam with the better paper.
the fax module has also been an issue. it currently doesnt work (after the last firmware update) with about half of the fax machines out there. hp gave me some codes to slow the fax to half speed, and that helped, but faxes are pretty standard and this should just work. there also is no way to send a fax via the ethernet, a feature that is essential in a small office
