HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus e-All-in-One (A910g)

Pros: Cost, I suppose. I am forced to write something positive, so that is the best I could do.

Cons: Just garbage. HP printers should be illegal. Three of the same printer out of the box do not work.

Summary: It's been like a comedy of errors, without the humor. HP printers should be illegal. I purchased a replacement HP 8500A six months ago and in the last two weeks, it started giving me error messages and I would have to reboot the printer every time I wanted to print something. I share the printer with four co workers, so we were greatly limited to what we could do. Luckily, I purchased the "extended warranty" that was supposed to replace the printer if we could not get it fixed. After a total of six hours on the phone with the HP reps, they couldn't figure it out and sent us a "refurbished" model. That model was non functional out of the box, and we committed a total of almost two hours trying to trouble shoot that printer. They sent another printer, and it will not scan/fax/copy from the scanner bed, so we have to return this one. Another hour and a half spent trying to diagnose the last one...I give up. Most reviews of this type of product are negative since most consumers don't usually take the time to write something with a positive experience. I am committing the time to write this TO WARN YOU THAT THIS WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU PURCHASE A HP PRINTER.
