"Great Home All-In-One for the Money"
Pros: Inexpensive; Good Quality Printing; Fast Printing; Surprisingly Efficient with Ink; Full Functionality; Small Footprint; Great Styling
Cons: Noisy When Printing; Control Pad a Little Confusing
Summary: After extensive research into printers for my home office and an intensive review of my budget, I finally settled on the HP Photosmart C3180 without seeing any reviews. However, I figured that the price was right, the HP reputation is strong and the functions of the printer are what I need, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I connected the printer as soon as it arrived (piece of cake, even for a novice like me). I then began to use it very heavily. I am so impressed. THe quality of the print is incredible, the printer is versatile and it moves fast (especially when in the economical fast mode). I'm even surprised at its efficiency, re: ink. After weeks and a lot of printing, both B/W and color, with some at the high quality level, the printer is still using the sample inks that came with it.
As far as looks are concerned, the printer is sleek with a very small footprint, even taking the paper tray into consideration. It has a clean appearance without an industrial look. It is great for today's offices with a more contemporary appearance.
The only two possible issues that may detract from this printer is the same as may be found with any inkjet, with the exception of the very high end inkjets. Inkjets tend to be a little noisy as it prints at the speedier settings. This printer isn't any different. Secondly, the control pad is confusing. Use will require reading of the manual, unlike others where you plug the printer in and go.
Overall, the difference in operations and results between this printer and those in the $250 to $300 price range is negligible.
I recommend this printer for anyone who wants a stylish all-in-one printer that performs like a high-end printer and yet who is not willing to spend the $300 plus price of the more expensive printers. I'm planning to buy one for my son's dorm room...at this quality, it will work great for him and, at this price, I'm not worried that it may not survive the rigors of a college dorm room.

just make sure that you have that paper tray out if you are printing in fast mod, it will spit the pages out so fast that they will end up on the floor, very fast and very good.

I purchased this printer about a week ago at a Fry's store. great price $99 bucks plus $19.99 for a extra two year warranty not bad. The printer prints great for the price. not alot of space. I have it conneccted to a bluetooth device that connects to my laptop. it takes abought 12-20 sec to print a web page.(depending on color and all that). Scanner is great for $99+$19.99 bucks great all around printer. have not printed picks yet but will update as I do use the printer for that.
