"Great Unit does everything I want with style"
Pros: Installation was easy; the 7180 is feature rich and well thought out; Text, Graphics and photo quality is very good. Plus I love the big LCD that gives you a visual indication on what the 7180 is doin
Cons: I had a issue with the initial alignment that mean the 6x4 photos printed using the 7180?s built in photo studio had their borders trimmed on one side this was resolved by running a re alignment.
Summary: I had to get a printer that included a scanner as my wife needed this feature. The scanner on the 7180 is a high quality CCD unit that we can use for Digital Archival backups of old Negative / Slide film plus scan documents for OCR / business purposes. The printer is a 6 colour unit that quickly and quietly produces photos that are really amazing. I?m not sure why the CNet reviewer gave the printer a bad text / graphics rating as the text is very sharp, I wonder if they had an alignment issue also that was maybe not noticed. This coupled with the 7180?s smart features like auto paper quality calibration with HP paper stock, Bluetooth WIFI and Ethernet capabilities a fax machine I truly think this is a neat printer definitely a convergence device that does seem to live up to the label. Bottom line I have no issues recommending this device.

How can you recommend a product that doesnt even fulfill its advertised feature list? Have you talked to HP support?
