  • "Second and last printer from HP I EVER BUY."
    on by xjam13

    Pros NONE ABSOLUTELY NONE!

Cons The second HP printer I've owned and I vow on my life the last. I will not even take one for free. I don't use it much but get less then fifty pages for each ridiculously expensive ink cartridge. I hate it and hate HP, they make poor products and I wouldn

Summary Only buy this or any HP printer if you want to add frustration and anger to your life.

  • "Fantastic Printer, with seemingly endless capabilities."
    on by groverrohan

Pros Fairly easy to set up, fast print speed, great ink usage, low-priced ink.
ePrint capability fantastic?one second I press "send" from my email and the next it's printing.
iPhone and iPad apps great, scan from anywhere.
    Energy Star, Bonjour, email...!

Cons There isn't much I dislike about this product--I just got it yesterday, though, so I don't know how it does over the long run. Will update.

Summary This is, in short, a fantastic product. The ePrint functionality is really, really amazing, and the quality and speed is fantastic. I have been disappointed by HP before, but this printer is really great. The "Apps" button, which lets you print any of their supported websites without a computer, is awesome. I love being able to email the files and links to print them, and Bonjour capabilities let it print from my Mac mere seconds after opening the box. It's great with ink, and isn't guzzling so far (its cartridges are still topped up after several 600 dpi photographs were printed?from the desktop, the laptop, the iPhone, the iPad, and I bet I could print from the Wii, too). Its ink is cheaper than the one for my previous printer and still seems to have a greater capacity. Really great quality, quantity, and the Energy Star certification convinced me. And at less than $100, this is a fantastic deal.

Yep; a couple of months later, it's still a fantastic printer. The apps are really useful too. However, emailing it may not always print what you want, as in, some images do not show, and setup can be a little tricky with Windows as opposed to Mac. Make sure you give it a fixed IP address. Other than that, this printer is amazing! Don't know how I survived with my old C3180...

Cons It took a little longer than expected to set up. But that's norm for new printers

    Pros None, absolutely none

Cons Will not work new out of box.

Summary I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an AMD Dual-Core C50 laptop by Acer with service Pack One installed. I set up the device according to instructions. The driver is supposed to automatically install upon printer connect via USB connect, right? It doesn't. I worked with device manager and it called it a "device" not a "printer." So, I finally convinced my computer to install it off the included CD-ROM. It said it was successfully installed. Then, it was still not in the list of available printers. I restarted. Then it was in the list of available printers, but could not be made the default printer. I removed the other printers from the list. Then it still couldn't be made the default printer. Then, when I went to print, it wasn't even on the list of available printers. I troubleshooted again. It says the driver is not installed.

People. Save yourself time and money. Don't buy this printer. I'm returning mine tomorrow.

Pros None that I can see

Cons Everything. Have tried 4 evenings th get my 2 desktops to print to this pile of junk without luck. Spent 2 hours on the phone with "tech support" which didn't have a clue how to help. Printer connects to wireless hub but that's it. Went through firewall s

Summary Don't buy this pile of junk you will not be happy with it.
