"Nice hardare, Absolutely horrible software"

Cons: Horribly painful software problems. Device disappears and won't reinstall. Software is terribly invasive and prevents my computers (XP) - 3 of them - from starting up and shutting down without long delays
Summary: I am returning this thing to costco and buying a Lexmark multifunction device. HP needs to correct and improve software as well as cartridge use and expense before I would ever consider another of their products.

Hi,
I don't understand why some people find this devise so easy and wonderful to use and others just can't seem to make it work. Also can't understand why some people point to the low cost of operation using XL cartridges and others seem to think cost of operation is exorbitant. It sounds like the story of the blind men describing the elephant! (There are lots more reviews on the Costco and HP Web sites.) -
I agree. Whenever a page is ready for duplex it pops up a window on my PC stealing my attention away from work. I don't care that the ink is drying. That's the printer's responsibility. Let it just do its job without nagging me.
