"Great value"
Pros: Crisp text,,great photos and copies. Very nice scanning of photos
Cons: The software bundle is, um, bulky and a bit slow.
Summary: I had none of the problems loading the software that I've read in some reviews. It loaded in 10 min on my computer which has a 1.8AMD chip and 256K of RAM running windows XP 2. I find no fault at all for the price- of the work of the printer, copier, scanner. The software bundle is quite large and duplicates some software I already own. Having read some of the problems some have had with the software, I didn't feel like getting creative with what I installed. With today's hard drives though, it hardly makes a dent in the gigs used. The software does load a bit slowly but I have no "deadlines to meet".
It is a very attractive printer, compact with clear controls. I was able to use all the functions right away with very little "book learnin'".
This printer replaces an Epson died the death of clogged nozzles. Funny thing is that the 2355 after rebates and coupon cost just a tad more than the Epson which only was a printer.
We scanned an old color photagraph that was fading. Used the HP software and was able to produce a "new" photo. Very cool.
Good job HP..Now can we work a little on the software?
