"If you are printing Word documents - this is a great printer"
Pros: all in one - copier works well. For text docs works well.
Cons: Photo issues, software issues, issues, issues, issues
Summary: Terrible. I thought it was pretty good while all I was doing was printing from Word. However, when I sat down to actually use the scanner for the first time, it was an hour-long call to HP to download the bug fix driver and delete selected files from my hard drive. Next...trying to print photos from iPhoto, Fireworks or Preview proved futile. In despiration, I plugged the memory directly into the printer and pushed print photos, it printed the first photo (NOT centered on the photo paper though) and then proceeded to print out 15 blank pieces of photo paper. Next was the error that the printer cartridges were the wrong kind. Nevermind they were the ones that came with the printer. The only way to clear that error was to unplug the machine. Well, thank GOD I bought the buyer protection from Staples, this baby is going back TODAY. I am going to put in the extra $100 and buy the Canon Pixma. I've had enough of HP. They have been going downhill for years. This is the last thing I will ever purchase from them again. It's been nothing but headaches.
