"Gave too much $$$ to HP for cartridges"
Pros: Good printing quality, easy to use scanner
Cons: Color cartridge never worked properly (after three tries)
Summary: Back in January 2005 (or maybe February) I got this printer as a birthday present for my wife.
At first the color worked great. Then it stopped working entirely or printed very sporatically.
Sometimes the color would work after one cycle of "clean print cartridges", at others it would not work. Cyan seemed to be the most troublesome.
After 9 months I took the piece of junk back to Costco (without box or receipt). I was SHOCKED as they allowed the return.
However that was not until after spending nearly $100 (slightly more than half on what I paid for the printer).
I will most likely NEVER buy another HP printer for as long as I live
