"You guys on HP's payroll?"
Pros: EXTREMLY cheap ink!!! Great photos and I have no problems with text or anything else.
Cons: None really. I do wish they still had the dedicated photo tray the 5000 units had though.
Summary: I think for the money this printer and the ink system is right on. I have printed a little over 500 4 x 6 prints and no problems like described. It is almost like you guys tested a different printer. Yes, the are fancier machines out there, but at 99.99 plus 23.00 to reload all the inks, come on guys. I plan on upgrading to the machine with the LCD screen when it goes on sale again just because it works as a stand alone unit. Easier for the wife.
I have absolutely no banding or any of the other issues. You guys tested the cheap paper from the 17.99 pack, which they say right up front is an everyday type print. If you buy the 19.99 (15 cents a print) package, the photos are great. Are you comparing them to color dye sublimation prints you get from the KPM machines? Apples to Oranges dudes. Get real and be honest. This is a great machine for the price.
