Pros: Wireless, cloud printing, super photo printing, prints direct from Picasa Web Albums, fast drying ink, auto duplex, auto document feed, good scanner and fax, long lasting and overall cheaper ink cartridges
Cons: Can be tricky to set up,If you take the printer cartridges out for more than a day the printer head will dry out, Home Printing Center software occasionally crashes
Summary: I bought my 87 year old dad an early Kodak printer and he loved it because of the photo printing quality and fast drying ink, but my sister allowed the printer head to dry out so I searched for a new one. I was amazed at how much functionality was in the newer printers so bought one for each of us. It did take most of a morning to set everything up, but I went through every functionality and found everything as promised. I was able to easily connect two pc's, two laptops and one tablet to the printer wirelessly, allowing the printer to remain in another room out of the way.
I cannot say that it was a quick or easy install, you HAVE to read the instructions and be patient, and if you skip an instruction, you may need to start over. But it is worth the hassle. My dad still likes to print actual photos and I was able to show him how to do this directly from his Picasa Web Albums. The one thing to watch out for are drying out the printer head or cartridges. If a cartridge is removed from the printer for more than 24 hours, it will dry out the printer head and it will need to be replaced. Kodak is good about replacing the head, but it is a pain to have to do it all the same. Just leave the empty cartridge in the printer until it can be replaced.
Although the text quality is fine, I would not do a lot of heavy office work with it. But for our minimal home office needs, it is more than adequate and gives us what we need. BTW, I like the fact that I don't have to remember my model when purchasing replacement cartridges, all of the Kodak printers use the same one. We had an spare set of ink carti4rdges left over for our HP. My husband took them back and received nearly the amount we paid for the Kodak printer (Black Friday prince).
