  • "Disconnects from computer often; new firmware disaster"
    1.0 stars
    on

Pros: Smart solutions allows for nice flexibility

Cons: While I put up with the issue of having to restart both computer and printer to get them to talk, the latest firmware forces all ink to be made by Lexmark! This is a no go to purchasing another printer from Lexmark.

Summary: Allow people to use third party ink again and I will reconsider any possibility of purchasing new printers from Lexmark. That is the bottom line!

Updating the firmware of the printer helps maintain the printer's performance. If a non-genuine Lexmark ink is used, the printer will stop working or will produce a bad print quality and will result to printer's malfunction.
