"Excellent printer for the cost, only one slight flaw..."
4.5 starson by buschmi2Pros: Everyone on CNET seems to be knocking this printer, but I just printed off all our wedding invitations, save the date flyers, and reply cards with no problems. Excellent two sided printing.
Cons: I did have 1 paper jam with regular printer paper, and I just threw it out and kept printing.
Summary: I went to Office Max and ended up paying only $79.99 for this printer. It was originally $129.99 and then Office Max had a program where you can "recycle" your old printer for an additional $50 off. This printer comes with the Lexmark 100 print cartridges and I was able to print off approximately 160 wedding invitations (black ink), 168 save the date flyers, and 160 reply cards with no paper jams or issues at all. I also printed off a ton of powerpoint slides for my classes. The printer finally says "low black ink", so overall I'm pleased with the amount of printing I was able to do.
I was able to set this printer up within 1 hour for two computers and have had zero issues using the wireless setup. The two sided printing option saves time and money while using less paper; it is fast and efficient.
The only reason I gave this printer 4.5 stars is because of the 1 paper jam that happened. I went from a HP Deskjet 5850 to the Lexmark Interact S605 and I don't think I ever once had a paper jam with my HP in the six years it lasted me. Don't get me wrong, this Lexmark is MUCH better than my 5850, and a much needed update to my home office.
