"Great for everyday use and digital photo printing." on by SgtChipSaunders

Pros: Very user friendly and easy to operate. Digital picture memory card slots and direct printing. The ink level display is a great feature. Ink lasts a good long time with the high yield cartridges.

Cons: Print quality is not quite as good as the HP printers I've used in the past.

Summary: For the money, a great printer.

"Best inkjet printer I've owned" on by PrincessAnne1026

Pros: Does everything it says it does; multifunction; fast printing; good print, scan, and copy quality

Cons: Ink just a tad expensive

Summary: I love this printer. After going through hell with previous inkjet printers such as the Brother MFC-420CN and Epson Stylus CX4600, I was desperate for a printer that would just WORK without the inkjets clogging within a year. I'm glad to report that this printer does just that. It has very intuitive software, and great print, scan, and copy quality. I also love the blue LED and color display.

The only downside is that ink cartridges are a tad on the expensive side, but if you search hard enough on eBay you can get some good deals.

Lexmark is very dependable. I highly recommend this printer.

    "Excellent Value!" on by smnc

    Pros: Solid Performance, Good Price

Cons: Switching Ink sucks, no MS slot

Summary: I was in the market for a photo printer and a scanner, so when a local department store had a floor model P4350 for $35, I jumped on it quick!
Even though the rest of you will not likely find quite the same bargain, this printer is still an excellent value at full price.

Firstly, lets get my complaints out of the way.
The biggest one is ink switching.
This unit uses three different ink cartridges for printing black, colour and photo documents. Unfortunatly, it can only use two at a time, which means that the photo and black carts have to share a spot. If you plan to print photos and documents both regularly, it's mildly annoying to have to switch back and forth, especially as the ink lives under the scanner unit, which is fairly heavy. It's not hard to switch, but it gets annoying.
At least the printer has a storage compartment for not-in-use ink cartridge.

The only other real complaint is the lack of a Sony memory stick slot, since it does support MMC, SD, and CF.
It would have been a nice feature for the Sony camera owners, but since the unit has a PictBridge USB port, it's not a big deal.

Now on to the good stuff!
The scanner is a good unit. It's not the best I've seen, but it's fairly quick and produces good quality results.
It is a tad loud, but not enough to be a annoyance unless you're especially sensitive to noise.

The printing quality ranks as slightly above average for me. Again, I've seen better, but it results look sharp, and the colours are crisp, so why complain?

One thing I did notice is that it can be quite forceful while printing, and can cause lesser shelves/printer tables to shake quite a bit. I'd recommend placing it on a good solid surface.

As the cNET review points out, if you're looking for an all-in one fax/scanner/copier/printer, there are better models out there (I recommend Brother MFC's).
But if all you want is a quality photo printer and a solid scanner, the P3450 will not dissapoint.
