"Excellent Product!"
Pros: 4-cartridge system makes for cheaper cartridges, Good scanning and copying capability, Direct from card printing, monitor ink levels from front panel, built-in print server, compact size
Cons: Ummm... What's a con?
Summary: This printer has been fantastic. There have been reports of defective ink cartridge sensors and it failing to detect the ink cartridges. You should follow the front panel instructions when installing the cartridges for the first time. It will step you through with a particular order to install them. It will be Black, Yellow, Cyan, and Magneta in that order. When you insert them hold the tab back a little. Press straight down on the ink cartridge firmly until you hear a hiss. At this point release the tab and continue pressing until the tab snaps into place. Afterwards it will proceed to clean for approximately 4 minutes. I actually had to do this twice as the first time the magneta cartridge hadn't been cleaned 100% (it was almost there). I just told it to do another round on the color bit.
You don't want to turn off the device or have it reboot when you change the network settings. If you do then you will have to deal with it cleaning for about a minute when you try to print something for the first time.
On the plus side network installation went very smooth even though I changed the network name for the device. It found it without issues at all.

I was wondering if you tried the cheeper compatible ink cartridges? If so did they work? Or does this printer know you didn't use a the brother cartridge and shut down.
