"Software is a disaster for XP users"
Pros: prints & faxes well, scan quality OK.
Cons: Software very very outdated. Original manual inadequate. Updated info in several read-me files and online difficult to sort out. Online updates do not help much. Print/Scan additional features don't well with XP or Word 2000.

Pros: Costs way too much, and it doesn't come with ethernet option standard.

"fast, cheap, quality, versatile"
Pros: This machine just blew me away on it's speed. Really simplifies and speeds up my home-office, without costing a fortune.
Cons: I'm still waiting for an exactly similar machine, except adding color for under $1000. I know you can do it.

"Another failed attempt at a 5 in 1 everything for a busy home office."
Pros: Fax receive is a great idea if it works right with everything else and legal paper won't fall off of the edge of this machine.
Cons: Printer only printed 3 pages before stopping after reloading software and windows. Pc fax didn't work unless it was turned on before the machine had any faxes.
