"Best MF I have ever owned"
Pros: Fast, Reliable, all fax func. you need and all work they way you want it.
Cons: A bit bulky and noisy, I have issue faxing remotely using network
Summary: I used to own 3 MF printer before and all were HPs. I got burned by each and every on of them. So, I decided to try something new, and Brother looked promising. I did not regreat my decision. It works great. Network setup was breez. Other software installations were fast, easy, straight forward, and no bugs (unlike HP). Using it from the machine itself or remotely through network is easy and bug free. I use same line for fax an telephone, and it manage this better than any fax machine I have ever seen (no fax tune middl of your conversation!)Eventhough it is abit bulky, but the bulk is vertical, so it don't use too much desk space. Since 3 month using it, had never had a jam. Scanner, weather using the autofeeder or the flat top, manages without a glich, and minimum user interaction.
My only issue so far is that, when I try to send fax remotely through network, it produce a louder than normal fax tune and failes. I might be doing something wrong, but even if that is the case, it is not straighty forward in this case.
On the whole this is a great machine, and I love it. I will never go back to HP again!
