*From the perspective of a business with multiple printers*
- Same Toner Cartridge as the B431dn
- 10k Toner Cartridge option
- Lots of options for scan locations
- Can fax through a central fax server
- Number buttons are not very responsive
- Poor navigation (button layout is ok, but the programming behind it is poor)
-No per user settings/defaults

From a hardware perspective, it is a fairly nice MFP. The number buttons are not very responsive, and the scan rollers are definitely not meant for heavy use (i.e., scan jobs over 20 pages have a higher tendency to jam) but overall, for the price, it is very good. My only real major issue with the printer is the user navigation.
Button use (not layout) is very poorly designed and wastes end user time unnecessarily. Given the available buttons and functions that the unit has, Oki could have easily made the user navigation easier. To select and use the first job function listed requires a minimum of 6 buttons to be pressed. Most of those are just unnecessary confirmations. There are also issues all around with job functions as you can't see/edit the job settings from the management web page.
I also find their user options to be very limiting. The unit is setup to allow for individual user logins, but really only for security purposes. Ideally, you should be able to setup individual user profiles that would allow for personal address lists, email sender options, and scan/fax default settings.
On the plus side, the unit does play nice with Windows File Shares and Exchange email which is very beneficial for small/mid size businesses. As we also use Oki B431dn printers, it is nice to only have to stock one model of toner cartridge. The toner is separate from the image drum, which makes them easier to refill, and causes less ware on the drum (i.e., you don't end up with the typical damaged drum you often see with other refilled printer cartridges where the drum and toner are all-in-one).
All in all, it is a good unit for the price. However, Oki needs to make some minor updates to the software to really allow it to shine. -
