"Good color MFP for a reasonable price"
on by lt2011Pros 1. Printing speed for black and color
2. Reasonable price
3. Acceptable color printing quality
4. Smooth wireless setup, in my Win7 64bits.Cons 1. Below average scanning/copy result
2. No PDF or hardcopy manualSummary It's good to use it as a home use color printer and copying machine.
Printing speed is average. Although not as documented but still reasonable, about 2 ppm (close to other printer in the same price range). Color print result is a bit darker (but I didn't perform any color tuning).
Wireless network setup is smooth and without problem. I didn't encounter any problems in Win7-64bits setup, printing and scanning.
Worst thing is the scanner, just like br*th*r, scanned result comes with very tiny light and dark vertical stripes (esp. photo scanning), but scanner doesn't allow CCD elements calibration. Seems I need to send it back to service center. -
"Excellent color laser printer for the price!"
on by TD_TraderPros 1. Excellent printing speed for black and color
2. Reasonable price
3. Good wireless setup for Windows 7 (64-bit)
4. Excellent print quality (for the price)Cons 1. No auto-duplex option (doesn't automatically print on both sides of the paper).
2. Samsung should offer a CLX-3185dfw with auto-duplexing (two-sided printing) and autoduplex scanning (two-sided scanning) as an option.Summary It's a great home use color laser printer, it's very small and compact (versus the large 65lbs small office color laser printers from other vendors). The small footprint makes it perfect for home use. It's a good color printer and personal copying machine. Color was good, but I do wish it could print on both sides of the paper to save on paper. I really wish auto-duplex was an option. For the price, it's a great printer. Definitely five stars, and I would recommend the CLX-3185FW as a 2012 editor's choice pick!

"Good quality, bad UI, NOT Mac OS X Lion compatible"
on by bb4buzzPros Good quality output, fairly quiet, small footprint, long toner cartridge life
Cons big drawback is it is NOT Mac OSX Lion compatible in wireless mode! Suffers from bad UI on control panel, hard to read; no backlighting, needs clear bright sight lines, cant be seen in an enclosed cabinet application. Works fine when USB connected.
Summary Wouldn't buy again, customer is caught in crossfire between Apple and Samsung. Just make the Lion driver for damn sake! Serve the customer not your corp agenda. Wont buy Samsung again if this isn't fixed. Not just printers but anything!
