"Best Multifunction laserjet for money available"
Pros: Internal paper tray. $ per page. Simple interface. Great software. Standalone copies. Beautiful color scans. PRICE.
Cons: From hibernating to first page is more like 30 seconds. Paper kinda comes out weird. Kind of big for a dorm room, but not too big.
Summary: I bought this machine on ebay for $130, free shipping, USB printer cable and toner included and that was the best deal anyone will ever get for a multifunction laser printer.
When i first saw this, I had no idea where the paper came out, it comes out of that dark slot on the front. A little weird but i guess all multifunctions do that. So whatever. And the thing is a little wide and long, but never noisy. Also, it takes about 4 minutes to scan a color image on a paper 8 x 11" at the best quality. Like 2400 DPI or something like that. But im not complaining, because the image quality is beautiful.
Also, the "toner save" mode is not recommended for anything. the text fades in the corners sometimes, you can never really be sure
If you're looking for a multifunction laser printer, this is your only option. The only competition right now as far as im concerned is the Brother. But they curl pages excessively and the machine is alot bigger in person. Also, who needs a self feeding copy machine unless you're a professor or something. And the toner isnt cheap. This machine is 2-3 cents/page and is a great value for anyone interested.
