"Glad to see the back of it" on by pierznj

Pros: Hmmm.... let me think now. Well it looks kinda cool! And it's easy enough to use. And it's quite fast printing text.

Cons: Where do I start? Poor paper handling, scans have a brown cast, print quality is indifferent.

Summary: I'm so glad to be getting rid of this alien monstrosity on my desk. Wherever did they get the name "Accu-feed" technology? More like "Crappu-feed". This printer mangles paper, or just fails to feed the paper at all, and prints over and over on the black plastic, which then leaves ink everywhere on the next print(s). Photo prints come out OK sometimes, but at other times banding is apparent. The scanner gives everything a brown cast which has to be corrected before printing, so direct copying is hopeless if you need half way decent quality. The way the printer opens and closes to change inks or remove misfeeds is awkward, and something inside easily snaps if you're not careful putting the lid back down - I'm not sure what but it doesn't sound good. Refilling cartridges is very awkward too - a bit like brain surgery only in more colours. But don't even think about using original Lexmarks. They cost an arm and a leg and the thing sucks ink like nobody's business. In fact, it sucks generally. So glad to be rid of the damn thing.

"Problem paper feed and print" on

    Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: The paper feed on this product is very sensitive; jams easily. It continues to print even when the paper is jammed, thus causing the ink to "glob" up as well. Also had repeated problems with print quality. In my experience, this is one of the poorest fu

    "Poor paper handling; jams" on

Pros: Pros: multi-function in one box; flat-scans conveniently into multitude of applications

Cons: Cons: cannot set default scan folders, must specify folder every scan if you want scan to go to your preferred folder; fax/copy page scanner tends to jam; paper does not bottom solidly in input tray; paper often feeds askew; printing often rotated on page

"Exchange 3 times, Can't even get it right!" on by rubyremus

    Pros: User friendly, Prints good.

    Cons: Crap out 4 times

    Summary: Pros:

    1. All in one
    2. prints good quality pictures and documents
    3. Quick scan
    4. User friendly

    Cons:
    Exchange 3 times
First time : Scanner doesn't work
Second time : Fax problem quality
    Thrid time : Fax blew

Crap out on me the fourth time, when the warranty expires. Fax blew again.

Have a battery back up plus a surge protector and still the fax card blew. No idea why.

Printing cost -- very high for a small business expenses.

Now this printer is just a plain copier/scanner. That is all.

"Worst printer I have bought in 25 years" on

    Pros: Low cost, good functionality

Cons: Really more a plastic toy than a business printer. Color print head failed soon after purchase. Returned it for repair - same problem within a few days. I've owned 2 Lexmark printers in my business life. Both unfortunately have been total duds. The warran
