Pros Quality of copies and received Fax's. Good photo prints
Cons Out of the box quality. It took 2 cartridges and almost 2 hours with the HP Helpdesk before it would print color.
Summary Great machine, so far. Good print quality from copies, and photos. However, out of the box it would not print color. It cost me almost 2 hours on 2 separate calls and 2 color print cartridges before it printed in color
Pros 6 hours after starting....it works fine
Cons When you buy a product, shouldn't it work right away?
Summary I buy alot of HP products. I used to like HP. Not so much any more.
So I sent a letter to Mr. Hurd, the head of HP.
To sum up, I asked him, if he knew that the software shipped with the product did not work, why did he not recall the product? Or send retailers new software to attach to said product before the sale. If my brand new oven or automobile didn't work when I got it, I know those companies would fix their products immediately so that quality control and the customer would be satisfied? It took 6 HOURS to download the correct software. (that's at DSL SPEED, NOT dial-up). There's way too much competition for my dollar out there for me to buy a machine that requires me to lose a day just getting it to run. Once again, manufacturing in the 21st century is about the almighty dollar, forget the customer or quality or integrity...just get it on the shelf! Who cares if it doesn't work, we'll fix it later.
Now that it's running...it seems fine...but 6 hours? (Or...7-10 days to ship you a new disk if you don't want to download).
They knew it didn't work...they kept it on the shelves anyway to make the buck...
Shame on You HP...Shame on You!
I suggest you shop around...

"No problems so far"on by elias24
Pros Does it all, excellent price
Cons Slightly expensive genuine ink
Summary I read bad user reviews about this product after I ordered it & tried to change my order to the 7210 model, but I was told it couldn't happen & boy I'm glad I finally got the 6210. No problems so far. I don't think the 7210 deserves being 50% more expensive. As I read the 6210 reviews, I see 2 major complains for this product:
1) The software installation problem. A major one for those that bought the mashine early and had a slow internet connection that prevented them from downloading the huge driver from the net. But now, all products are shipped with the updated CD & I don't think it will be a problem any further. Anyway I prefered to install the driver from the net, but it was the same one.
2) The paper jam issue, or the paper-jam error-message. This didn't happen to me yet. Like with all other printers, it's important to adjust the gray plastic in the feeder in such way, that the paper you feed comfortably "just fits". This forces the paper to be fed straight. As for the error message that occured to some people, without having any paper jammed, fortunately I didn't face it yet.
The expensive ink does not bother me, cause I don't buy genuine inks. I use quality immitations at 1/3 of the price & never had a problem
Athlon 64 3000+
Windows XP Professional Service pack 2 (with all available updates installed)
McAfee Internet Security 2006 (Disabled during the installation)
Pros This will be my 3rd or 4th HP printer to have owned. I had a stretch where they seemed to die right after I bought another $50 worth of ink, so I switched to Epson. That had the problem that it seems ALL Epson printers suffer from -- clogged print nozzl
Cons Installation on my Win2K took 5 hours and 2 calls to India. For some reason the print driver was incomplete for my Win2K setup. The fix was to install the software and uninstall it a few times with varying options selected each time. The installation p
Pros easy to set up; makes copies quickly and legibly on fast setting;, installation easy and fast
Cons none so far
Summary I love this all-in-one! It does everything
I need it to do and is so easy to operate. Directions for set up were clear and installation was easy and fast. I selected this primarily for its ability to copy and this it does beautifully! I found the quality of reproductions were excellent even set in the fast mode. I do not hesitate to highly recommend it when a good low-cost copier/printer/fax/scanner is needed and a budget is tight.
